Magic happens with an open heart.
The greatest magic of all has been and always will be Love.

Congratulations on your Engagement! The decision to get married is one of the biggest decisions you will make in your life.

Now the fun begins. Organising your wedding can at times be stressful, however one element of your day that can be stress free is the ceremony. With the right Marriage Celebrant, the stress and guess work will be eliminated; the role of the Celebrant is to professionally help you create a ceremony tailored to your beliefs, traditions and wishes.

Penrith, the Blue Mountains, and the Western Sydney area have some wonderful natural, historic, and modern facilities where you can hold your ceremony.

Where to Start

Once you have decided on a date and time, call me to have a chat and ask whatever questions come to mind. Alternativly you can e-mail me with a convenient time for me to call you back.

During the phone call we can establish what paperwork is needed, then at a convenient time we can have a face-to-face interview allowing you can decide if I'm a suitable Celebrant for you.

From there, together, we can start to build the perfect ceremony.

Paperwork Required

Notice Of Intended Marriage (NOIM).

This notice is required to be completed and witnessed by a Celebrant no less than one month prior to your chosen wedding date, and no more than eighteen months prior. You can complete the NOIM either with your Celebrant at the initial interview, or download a copy from Attorney Generals website: Notice of Intended Marriage. A 4 page PDF will open. You can print and fill out the form .

To lodge the NOIM, identification will need to be sighted by the Celebrant. You will need your birth certificates (originals), photo ID like a current drivers license or ID card and if you have been previously married, evidence that your previous marriage has been dissolved by either death or divorce.

Legal Aspects

During the ceremony there are a few sections that are required by law to be said and heard; aside from these the rest is up to you to choose to make your ceremony unique and memorable.

" I am duly authorized by law to solemnize marriages according to law. Before you are joined in marriage in my presence and in the presence of these witnesses, I am to remind you of the solemn and binding nature of the relationship into which you are now about to enter. Marriage, according to law in Australia, is the union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life."

or words to that effect.

" Do you Groom (or Bride.), take Bride (or Groom), to be your lawful wedded wife (or husband)."

or words to that effect.

" I call upon the persons here present to witness that I, Groom (or Bride.), take thee, Bride (or Groom), to be my lawful wedded wife (or husband)."

or words to that effect.

" As you, (Bride) and (Groom) have consented to be married in the presence of your family and friends, I know pronounce you to be husband and wife."

or words to that effect.
